The Extons are fast becoming one of the most exciting new bands in the UK.
Indie-rock bands are going to break back into the mainstream and this band will be at the forefront. Vocalist Will Barnes has a voice reminiscent of Julian Casablancas (The Strokes) along with the knack to mold memorable melodies and pen lyrics which will strike a chord with any disaffected millennial. The Extons’ early demo, ‘Grown Ups’, featured as a BBC Introducing Track of the Week and received support from Huw Stephens on Radio 1.
In October 2016, the band released their official debut single, ‘I Won’t Leave Lonely’, which has seen acclaim from Steve Lomacq on BBC 6 Music, featured in an episode of Made in Chelsea and received over 100,000 streams on Spotify. A new single is on the verge of release and sets to be even more successful.
The Extons have had a busy year supporting the cream of the crop in upcoming indie bands including Airways, The Sherlocks, Vant, Lisbon as well as indie veterans The Pigeon Detectives.
The band are set for a hectic summer, with shows and festivals booked across the U.K. You need to catch this band so you can say: ‘I was one of the early fans.’
